Our Story
Christian and Pamela Schienle, along with their son Jagger, have opened Nadine's Restaurant — formerly Jennifer's German Restaurant in Yorktown for over thirty years. The Schienle family have been searching for the perfect location for a sister restaurant to Sel et Poivre in NYC, a French bistro that has been in the family for three decades.
With Christian being from Vienna, Austria, they crafted a menu combining traditional German dishes with French classics — plus a special dish of the night.
Nadine is Pamela's middle name, and represents their passion for food, hospitality, family and friends — or, as they say in Austria, Gemütlichkeit.

My sister and I were in NY to visit a family member and while there it happened to be her birthday. We made a reservation for Nadine’s and sat outside in their Biergarten. This place is the real deal! The staff was attentive and friendly. Nadine came and introduced herself and checked in with us a few times. The food was AMAZING! We had one of their appetizer specials, crab stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were filled with all crab, no filler/breading. We also had the pierogis and which were also amazing. We both had the jagerschnitzel. Let me tell you, this was the best we ever had. The mushroom gravy was to die for. One of the best things was that Nadine and two of our servers brought out dessert and presented my sister with a bday crown and sang happy birthday. Stop in and enjoy this family run place. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll feel like you’ve been going there for years and are part of the family. Thank you to Nadine and the entire staff for making our night be one of the best we had during our trip to NY.
